Complete Contest rules: AIR MILES Reward Program
"CARSTAR 10TH ANNIVERSARY CONTEST!" Open only to Canadian
resident AIR MILES® Collectors (excluding residents of
British Columbia and Quebec) who have reached the age of
majority.
- No Purchase Necessary. How to Enter: Beginning January
10, 2005, sign in at www.airmiles.ca, click on the Home Page "CARSTAR Bonus Quick
Link" or click on the "CARSTAR WIN 10,000 AIR MILES reward
miles" banners and buttons which will appear on airmiles.ca
or click on the "Offers" navigation tab at the top of the
Home page and then click on the CARSTAR "Offer Thumbnail" which
will take you to the CARSTAR Offer details and contest
entry page, click on the "Click Here to Enter the CARSTAR
10th Anniversary Contest!" hyperlink and you will automatically
be entered into the Contest. Entries must be received no
later than 5:01 p.m. E.T. on March 31, 2005, (the "Contest
Closing Date"). Limit of one entry per Collector Account.
- Open only to Canadian resident AIR MILES Collectors who
are located in Canada at the time of entry (excluding residents
of British Columbia and Quebec) who have reached the age
of majority except employees, representatives and agents
of Loyalty Management Group Canada Inc. ("LMGC"), CARSTAR
Automotive Canada and its authorized dealers and franchisees
("CARSTAR"), and the subsidiaries and affiliates and advertising
and marketing agencies of LMGC and CARSTAR, the independent
Contest organization and persons domiciled with any of
the above. The Collector is the individual in whose name
the Collector Account has been established or, in the case
of a Business Collector, the principal associated with
the Business Collector Account, as determined by LMGC.
Residents will be determined by the mailing address associated
with the Collector Account. If you are not already an AIR
MILES Collector you may become one by enrolling online
at or by calling 1-888-AIR-MILES (1-888-247-6453) (in Toronto,
call (416) 226-5171).
- There is one prize of 10,000 AIR MILES reward miles available
to be won.
- The approximate retail value of AIR MILES reward miles
prize depends on the chosen method of redemption and available
reward options at the time of redemption. If redeemed for
flights (800 reward mile minimum required for flight redemption),
value depends on destination chosen, date of travel and
use of multiple carriers or suppliers. For example, one
return economy flight from Vancouver, British Columbia
to Montreal, Quebec is 2,800 AIR MILES reward miles and
has an approximate value of $856.00 (Canadian) excluding
taxes. Winners must pay applicable taxes, related transportation
fees, governmental levies, excess baggage and other non-ticket
costs. The value of AIR MILES reward miles redeemed for
non-flight reward options depends on reward options in
effect at the time of redemption. Prize is subject to the
terms and conditions of the AIR MILES Reward Program as
amended from time to time. Prize is not transferable or
convertible to cash and must be accepted as awarded.
- A random drawing will be held at 10:00 a.m. E.T. on April
15, 2005 in Toronto, Ontario, from all eligible entries
received. The selected entrant will be contacted by telephone
at the telephone number(s) recorded in respect of his/her
Collector Account number. If a selected entrant cannot
be contacted or has not responded within two (2) weeks
of the date when contact was first attempted, is not eligible
in accordance with these Contest rules or does not correctly
answer the mathematical skill-testing question, the selected
entrant is disqualified and will not receive the prize
and another entrant will be selected. The prize will be
delivered to the confirmed winner. To be confirmed a winner,
selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided,
a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to
be administered by telephone and must sign and return within
ten (10) days of receipt a Prize Acknowledgement Form,
which includes a standard declaration of compliance with
the Contest rules and a release form. If the signed Prize
Acknowledgement Form is not returned within ten (10) days,
the selected entrant is disqualified and does not receive
the prize and another entrant will be selected. Traveling
companion/guest of the prize winner (and his/her parent
or legal guardian if traveling companion/guest is under
the age of majority) must also sign a release to participate
in the prize.
- Chance of winning will depend on the total number of
eligible entries received.
- LMGC reserves the right to use the name, city of residence,
comments, likeness and /or photograph of the winner without
compensation, in any advertising and publicity in relation
to the contest. The contest is subject to all relevant
laws.
- LMGC is not responsible for any technical, hardware,
software or telecommunication failures of any kind, or
lost or unavailable network connections or garbled or deleted
computer network transmissions, or failed, incomplete,
garbled, misdirected or lost entries or inaccurate capture
of entry information which may limit the ability to participate
in the contest. LMGC is not responsible for any injury
or damage to persons or property arising from the contest
or any prize, or which may be caused, directly or indirectly,
in whole or in part, from accessing, downloading or transmitting
any material from the website www.airmiles.ca, regardless of whether the material was prepared
by LMGC or a third party or is connected to the website
by hyperlink. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
All entries become the property of LMGC and will not be
returned.
- By entering this contest, you acknowledge having read
these rules and agree to be bound by them and the decisions
of LMGC and the independent contest organization, which
shall be final and binding on all entrants. Entry into
the contest constitutes agreement to be bound by the complete
contest rules.
- LMGC reserves the right to substitute a prize with one
of equal or greater value, to cancel, terminate or suspend
the contest and to amend the contest without prior notice
at any time and for any reason.
